Frequently asked questions
Everything about getting a number, receiving the code, paying in crypto and renting a number. If your question is not here, see how support works.
The basics
What is SimBeep?
SimBeep is a service that sells virtual phone numbers for SMS verification. You pick the app that is asking for a phone number and the country you want the number from, and SimBeep gives you a real mobile number that receives the verification code on your screen. It covers 1,296 apps in 145 countries, you pay in crypto, and there is no identity check.
What is a virtual number for SMS verification?
It is a phone number you use only to receive a one-time code, instead of giving an app your personal number. The number is hosted on a mobile network in the country you choose, the app sends its SMS to it, and the code appears in your SimBeep account seconds later.
Is it a real mobile number or a VoIP line?
The numbers are mobile numbers on carrier networks in each country, which is why they pass the "non-VoIP" checks that many apps run. Some routes are resold lines rather than a SIM in a single handset — each network shows its measured delivery rate so you can see how well it works before paying.
Can I use the same number twice?
A one-time number is reserved for one service and one code window of 20 minutes. If you need the same number again later — to log back in or to receive a second code — rent a number for 7, 14 or 30 days instead.
Ordering a number
How do I get a number?
Create an account with an email and a password, add funds in crypto, then pick the app and the country on the activation page. The number appears immediately; paste it into the app and the code shows up in your order a few seconds later.
How long do I have to receive the code?
20 minutes from the moment the number is reserved. Most codes land within the first minute. Open the app's sign-up screen before you buy, so the window is not spent waiting on you.
What happens if the code never arrives?
You are not charged. The price is held on your balance while the number waits, and released back to you automatically when the window closes without an SMS. You can also cancel after 2 minutes if you would rather try another network straight away.
Can I choose the network?
Yes. Once you have picked the app and the country, every available network is listed with its price, its stock and its measured delivery rate. SimBeep pre-selects the best one — enough stock and a proven rate, then the lowest price — and you can switch to any other.
Why does the same app cost more in one country than another?
Prices follow what each mobile network charges for that app in that country, and they change with demand. You always see the exact price before you pay, and the price you see is the price you pay.
What does the delivery rate mean?
It is the share of recent orders on that network where the code actually arrived. Four bars means codes arrive most of the time; one bar means the route works but less reliably. Since you are only charged when a code arrives, the rate costs you time, not money.
Payments and balance
Which cryptocurrencies do you accept?
Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether USDT on TRON (TRC-20) and Monero (XMR). You add funds to your SimBeep balance once, then spend it one code at a time.
Is there a minimum top-up?
Yes — $20. Some coins have a higher network minimum; the top-up page tells you before you send anything. There is no monthly fee and no subscription.
How long does a top-up take?
Your balance is credited as soon as the payment is confirmed on its network: usually a few minutes for Tether (TRC-20), Ethereum and Monero, and typically 10 to 30 minutes for Bitcoin, which waits for a block. The payment page updates on its own — you do not need to refresh it.
Do you add fees?
No card fees and no service fees. You pay the network fee of your own wallet when you send the coins, and the price of each code or rental — nothing else.
Can I get my balance back?
Unused balance is not paid back out to a wallet, because a crypto payout needs identity checks we do not run. Charges for codes that never arrived are always returned to your balance automatically. See the refund policy for the details.
Renting a number
What is a rented number?
A number reserved for your account alone for 7, 14 or 30 days. It receives every SMS sent to it, from any app, for the whole term — useful for accounts you want to keep, logins that ask for a code again, or services that verify twice.
Can a rented number receive SMS from any app?
Yes. Unlike a one-time activation, a rental is not tied to one service. Every incoming SMS appears in your account's inbox for that number, with its sender and its time.
What happens when the term ends?
The number goes back to the network's pool and can be given to someone else later. Renew before the end date to keep it — renewal is always your decision, nothing renews on its own.
Can I make calls or send SMS from a rented number?
No. Rented numbers receive SMS only: no outgoing messages and no voice calls. Keep that in mind before using one for a service that expects to call you.
Privacy and your account
Do I need to verify my identity?
No. There is no ID upload, no selfie and no phone number of your own to give. An email address and a password are the whole sign-up — use an address you can open, since it is how you reset a forgotten password.
What do you keep about me?
Your email, a hash of your password, your balance, and your orders and the messages they received. No name, no address, no card. The details are in the privacy policy.
I forgot my password. How do I get back in?
Use Forgot password? on the login screen and enter your email: we send you a link to choose a new password. The link works once and expires after an hour. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then ask for a new link.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from your account settings. The account and its sign-in are removed; order records are kept only as long as accounting requires, without anything that identifies you.
Rules
What is SimBeep not for?
Fraud, harassment, impersonation, bypassing bans, and anything illegal where you or the number are. Accounts used that way are closed. The full list is in the acceptable use policy.
Can I resell numbers or use SimBeep for my business?
Yes, for legitimate uses such as testing your own SMS flows or managing work accounts. For steady volumes, rented numbers are usually the better fit.
